Most importantly, before installing the device to the vessel, clean the boat with a high pressure hose and apply a fresh hard coating. Once this is done you can leave the boat in the water for several years without being tasked by having to take it out the water and having to cleaning it. Simply take the boat out periodically and let the boat’s motion through the waves clean away all the dead and dying biofilm. Harsonic ® for Boats works on steel, aluminum and fiberglass (we can offer an external system for wooden boats). The installation of Harsonic ® for Boats is really easy. There is a detailed manual in the box. Please contact us for more information. If you follow the step by step instructions, there should be no problems. The most important thing is to install the transducer on the outer hull. The transducer is installed in the boat’s bilge. Before installation, the boat should be cleaned with a high pressure hose and be treated with a hard anti-fouling coating. By using this specific combination you can leave the boat in the water for years without taking it out for cleaning.
